So my mom’s in town and we’re planning our visit including where to go and what to eat, and it got me thinking: where are some great places to have lunch in Canmore? Whether you’re looking to grab-and-go, or you want a more sit-down experience, or anything in between, here are some great places to get a bite midday.

BLAKE
While usually touted as a dinner location, BLAKE serves the same great food for lunch as well. Enjoy the cool vibes of this industrial-inspired restaurant and enjoy some well-crafted, internationally inspired food to spice up your day. Of course, wash it all down with a beer or a cocktail from the on-site brewery and distillery. It’s a great way to get a true taste of the mountains and enjoy a bevvy to start your afternoon on the right foot!
Bridgette Bar
This restaurant has become popular with locals for great food and excellent happy hour deals. Their menu includes snacks, small plates, large plates, and fantastic pizzas. If you’re looking for a late lunch, the Matinée Happy Hour runs from 2-5 pm, a d it features half-priced beverages and pizzas. It makes for a great midday snack and the social atmosphere makes Bridgette Bar an excellent place to relax and socialize with friends and family around great food and drink.
Fergus & Bix
Craft burgers, fries, and beer make Fergus & Bix a fantastic spot for lunch. They serve other things too, but sometimes you just need a hearty meal, and this place serves it well. We’ve had work lunches here, and the vibe is always relaxed and welcoming. If you’re not working, check out their selection of craft beer, or try the Charity Tap and enjoy a bevvy while giving back to the community. Your lunch will taste even better with a side of generosity.
JK Bakery
Another Canmore favourite, JK Bakery has everything you need for a great lunch without spending too much money. Fresh baking in store, quiche, sandwiches, excellent coffee and tea, and so much more. The vibes are spot on, the food is always delicious, and the staff are excellent. This place is typically busy around lunchtime, and for good reason! But don’t let the lineup fool you, you’ll be enjoying an excellent lunch before you know it. JK Bakery has 2 locations in town, making it a great spot for a delightful midday meal.
Rocky Mountain Bagel Co.
It’s a Canmore classic. Freshly made bagels, homemade cream cheese, soups, and so much more. Chef Tim Mastell likes to keep things fresh, using ingredients grown in their own garden to enhance their already fantastic dishes. Table Food + Drink will surprise you with its elevated cuisine, but it still has the casual, laid back atmosphere that everyone loves about Canmore.
