Hunter. Dinner, Refined
There’s a new steakhouse in town.
Hunter is about presence. It’s built around discretion, intention, and the familiarity that makes a steakhouse great. The intimacy of the space, the precision of the service, the confidence of the cooking: everything has been quietly considered so that guests can simply enjoy being here.Joe Dort, Senior Director of Front of House Operations and Development
On a visit to Hunter, the atmosphere is immediately set. A casual bar for sampling cocktails, a great dining space with a central fireplace, and professional wait staff who are well versed in the dishes they serve makes this restaurant an instant classic.
“Hunter is rooted in the food people genuinely want when they choose a steakhouse,” says Sterling Cummings, Senior Director of Back of House Operations. “Great steaks cooked over fire and the classics that have stood the test of time. We’re not interested in reimagining those dishes. Our focus is on executing them exceptionally well and letting great ingredients and disciplined cooking speak for themselves. The experience still carries all of the indulgence and occasion people love about a steakhouse, just without the unnecessary performance.”
The space is designed for sharing. The tables are set far enough apart you can actually hear the people around you, even if it’s a busy night with a boisterous crowd. There are large windows at the entrance for a summer breeze, giving the place a charming and comfortable feel. The cozy fireplace gives the place an intimate atmosphere for winter dining.
Everything about the dining experience is curated around comfort and indulgence. The cocktails are a lovely, crisp start to the experience, while the appetizers set the stage for what promises to be a great meal ahead. Everything from warm, fresh cheese bread to the Caesar salad with real chunks of lardon to the stack of seafood is well prepared, well presented, and enjoyed to the very last bite.
For the main course, the chateaubriand is grilled to perfection, cooked over applewood and birch on a specialty Josper grill. Served with béarnaise, pomme purée, and green beans, it’s a dish that truly shows off the quality ingredients, disciplined cooking, and exceptional execution.
For dessert, the cheesecake is exceptional. Think about the best cheesecake you’ve ever had, add some sweet summer fruit, and then make it better. It’s the perfect ending to an otherwise fantastic dining experience.
At a time when daily life is increasingly defined by constant stimulation, A dinner at Hunter invites guests to slow down, take a deep breath, and reconnect with one another.
