    July 7, 2017

Looking for where to eat in Canmore?

Our summer bucket list involves a lot of stops for eating well. Here’s a suggested day of eating your way through Canmore, from much-needed caffeine pitstops to Blake’s unique flavours (and venues) to what Alberta eateries are best known for – beef.

    Perk Up

Start your day at Eclipse Coffee with a piccolo latte, the manager’s favourite espresso drink; discover their worldwide array of coffee blends from the highest quality beans. Support environmental sustainability at Good Earth Coffeehouse. Enjoy their fair trade brews. Or, get your caffeine fix at Rocky Mountain Bagel Co. Their bagel selection is the best in town.

    Blake’s Best

Parked on Main Street, the PD3 summer food truck serves street food on the patio and offers fine dining on the roof. Norm Flann’s new flagship restaurant BLAKE is an innovative automotive shop rebuild. Enjoy mix-and-match cuisine as they roll up the garage doors to christen the patio’s first season.

    Here’s the Beef

Rustica Steakhouse is one of two Bow Valley restaurants to make the “150 Best Neighbourhood Gems in Canada for 2017” list. These awards, created to help celebrate Canada 150, reflect 480,000 opinions submitted by diners that use the OpenTable reservation system. So what is Rustica’s secret for success? It’s the beef! This elegant timber framed steakhouse with cobblestone patio serves Prime grade steaks (a ranking reserved for the top 3% of beef in Canada) that are signature seasoned and grilled at 1500°F. Tender, juicy and flavourful describe the result.

Don’t wonder where to eat in Canmore. There are so many great meals in this mountain town! Where will you go first?
