Al Fresco in Jasper

    Taylor Jaine June 24, 2022

Summer in the mountains boasts long days, plenty of sunshine, and warm temperatures.

Why go inside to eat? There are plenty of patios in Jasper to dine outside, and these are a few of our favourites.

    Perfect Patios

Nothing says summer like a patio. Evil Dave’s has a new patio with excellent service and modern, internationally inspired cuisine. Something Else has a sidewalk patio with authentic Greek hospitality. The Inn Grill has a flower filled atrium to enjoy their hearty, Canadian inspired cuisine. At ORSO Trattoria, enjoy fine dining with stunning views of Lac Beauvert.

    On Location

Looking to get outta town? Dine on location at Maligne Canyon Wilderness Kitchen and enjoy smokehouse favourites at one of Jasper’s most iconic sights. Just outside of town, Tekarra serves hearty, homecooked meals. Enjoy dinner and a drink on their fully licensed patio and lawn. The Pines at Pyramid Lake Resort boasts excellent views all year long. Take in the lake with your meal and relax, Jasper style. At Maligne Lake, dine on the expansive patio at The View and connect with the stunning natural landscape.

    Destination Dining

The mountainous backdrop in Jasper National Park means there are great views to accompany great food, and there are plenty of out-of-the-way places to enjoy a bite. The Great Hall Gastropub at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge serves a unique experience, just beyond the reaches of town. On the Icefields Parkway, Beckers Gourmet Restaurant has fine dining in a casual atmosphere, perfect for the adventurer

    Peaceful Picnics

Grab some takeout and ditch the crowds with a picnic at a scenic location. Lake Annette has a lakeside picnic area with a playground, a beach, and an easy, paved walking trail. The lake is sometimes warm enough for swimming. Pyramid Island is accessible by footbridge. The lakeshore picnic sites have fire pits and interpretative signs about the area. Sixth Bridge is a quiet, forested area where two rivers meet. Fire pits are available for public use.
